The drum manufacture in Basel is as old as the Basel drumming and also that popular since several decades. High quality handmade drums in consideration of the tradition is the basic of the hundreds of drummers in our city, in Switzerland and all over the world.
Who are we and what do we do?
We are enthusiastic drummers and we love the carneval in Basel. We are musicians. We are inventors. We are creative lunatics. We are good manufacturer. We are the experts. In short:
We are the Swissdrum Ltd., formed in the begin of the year 2000.
We build percussion instruments and our special instruemt is the Basel drum.
To build and repair drums is our basic work. Getting drums alive, that is, what we want. We work for all the drummers worldwide and keep on going for better handling and highest quality.
These drummers had to learn and practise a lot, because of the ambitious new compositions and marches.
With this high niveau the drummers became, the usal drums gets at their limits. Not amazing, because the Basel drum wouldn't really developped in the last years.
To satisfy the new claims, we completed the Basel drum with some special features and new evolutions. So, our drums meet the requirements in Switzerland and in the internaltional marked all around the world.
